Hana Hrachovinová (1990) se od devíti let věnovala hře na harfu v Hudební škole hlavního města Prahy ve třídě Mgr. Hany Müllerové, pod jejímž vedením úspěšně absolvovala Gymnázium Jana Nerudy s hudebním zaměřením. Od roku 2009 studovala harfu u doc. Jany Bouškové na Hudební a taneční fakultě Akademie múzických umění v Praze, kde v červnu 2015 získala magisterský titul. V akademickém roce 2013 – 2014 absolvovala roční výměnnou stáž Erasmus na Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse v Paříži ve třídě Isabelle Moretti. Své vzdělání rozšiřovala i na mistrovských kurzech, například Festivalu Music Alp ve Francii pod vedením Isabelle Perrin, Isabelle Moretti a Jany Bouškové.

V letech 2015 až 2019 pracovala v orchestru Národního divadla Brno, od května 2017 na pozici první harfistky. Orchestrální praxi získala především v Jihočeské komorní filharmonii, Filharmonii Bohuslava Martinů a v Karlovarském symfonickém orchestru, dále spolupracovala například s Českým národním symfonickým orchestrem, Filharmonií Hradec Králové, Plzeňskou filharmonií, Hudbou hradní stráže a policie ČR, německým orchestrem L'arte del mondo a Czech Virtuosi.
Jako sólistka vystoupila s Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie, Komorní filharmonií Pardubice, Akademickými komorními sólisty a dirigenty Gerardem Oskampem, Leošem Svárovským, Marko Ivanovićem a Petrem Louženským.

Díky svému intenzivnímu zájmu o přímou spolupráci se skladateli premiérovala například skladby Lukáše Matouška, Lukáše Hurníka, Jaroslava Pelikána a Martina Klusáka. Od října 2014 je členkou šestičlenné improvizační skupiny Topos kolektiv, s níž v listopadu 2015 vystoupila v New Yorku.

V roce 2019 získala pro svůj výzkumný projekt „Harfové skladby soudobých japonských skladatelů“ stipendium japonské vlády (MEXT) a od dubna 2019 do března 2021 se tomuto projektu věnovala na GEIDAI – Tokijské univerzitě umění, pod vedením profesorek Mai Fukui a Takano Reine.

V březnu roku 2020 založila YouTube channel Haunted Harpist, kde sdílí především své improvizace na harfu i klavír a cestovatelská videa.

Hana Hrachovinová studied harp from her age of 9 at the Music School of the Capital City Prague in the class of Hana Müllerová. Still with this teacher she successfully graduated the Jan Neruda High School specialized in music. From 2009 she studied harp with world renowned professor Jana Boušková at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where she received her Master’s degree in June 2015. During her studies she also spent one year at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse in Paris in the class of Isabelle Moretti. She also attended international Master Classes with Isabelle Perrin, Isabelle Moretti, Jana Boušková, Ieuan Jones or Petra van der Heide.

From 2015 Hana was a member of the National Theatre Brno Orchestra and the acting Principal harpist from May 2017 to March 2019. She has cooperated with various other orchestras including the Czech Philharmonic or German orchestra l’Arte del mondo. As a soloist, she performed with the Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie, the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice and other Czech orchestras and conductors Gerard Oskamp, Leoš Svárovský, Marko Ivanović and Petr Louženský.

Hana is very interested in direct cooperation with contemporary composers, has premiered several contemporary Czech pieces and recorded some for the Czech Radio. She is a member of improvisation group Topos Kolektiv, established in 2014, with which she performed four times in New York city U.S. in November 2015. She regularly cooperates with shakuhachi player Marek Kimei Matvija and has performed with shakuhachi players Steve Louis Cohn and Kenji Seizan Osako. In 2017 she performed twice with koto player Keiko Hisamoto including presentation of Czech contemporary piece Magnolia for koto and harp by Martin Klusák at the Tokyo University of Arts.

She received the Japanese Government (MEXT) scholarship for her Contemporary Music research project and from April 2019 to March 2021 was a research student at the Tokyo University of the Arts, supervised by harp professors Mai Fukui and Reine Takano.

Nowadays Hana lives in Tokyo and her utmost passion is sharing her improvisations and travel videos on the Haunted Harpist YouTube channel she created in March 2020.
